Pomegranate syrup, how to make pomegranate syrup


Ingredients
  • 1 cup pomegranate juice
  • ¼ cup orange juice(optional)
  • 2 tbsp lemon
  • Pinch of salt
  •  30 ml rum 
  •  ½ cup sugar

Method
  • ·        Take a heavy sauce pan. Add pomegranate juice, orange juice and sugar. Mix it well.
  • ·        Bring it to a boil over medium to high heat until the sugar melts.
  • ·        Once the sugar melts simmer it over low to medium flame until it gets thicken or like a syrup consistency. It neither should be very running flowing nor very thick consistency. It should just perfect as syrup.
  • ·        Now add rum and let the alcohol evaporate.
  • ·        After that add pinch of salt and lemon.
  • ·        Lemon will prevent the sugar crystal in the syrup.
  • ·        Cook it for 1 more minute.
  • ·        And it is done. Store it in the Manson jar and you can keep this syrup in the refrigerator for up to 3 months.
  • ·        You can make pomegranate syrup mojito, pomegranate syrup lemonade, or drizzle over some vanilla ice cream, make salad dressing or many more as per how you guys imagine about your own dish.
  • ·        Store this syrup in the air tight container for up to 3 weeks in the fridge.

Notes
  • ·        Be careful on temperature while making syrup.
